Replacing Deteriorated Guttering and Laundry Plumbing
Our team attended a property in Riverstone NSW 2765 to complete upgrades to the roof guttering and laundry plumbing.
The project involved replacing three deteriorated sections of guttering, reconnecting the existing downpipes, installing a new laundry tub and replacing a rusted section of the existing plumbing vent.
The work was focused on the components that required replacement while retaining the surrounding plumbing that remained suitable for use.
Installing New Quad Guttering
Three sections of existing guttering were removed from the fascia and the downpipes disconnected to provide access.
New gutter brackets were installed with the required fall before new quad guttering was cut and fitted to the roofline.
Setting the guttering to the correct fall helps direct roofwater towards the outlets rather than allowing it to sit within the gutter.
New gutter nozzles were installed and the existing downpipes reconnected to complete the roofwater drainage.
Replacing the Laundry Tub and Drainage
Inside the home, the existing laundry tub was removed and replaced with a new unit.
A new drainage trap was installed and the existing waste pipework modified to suit the replacement tub.
Making these alterations as part of the installation allowed the new fixture to connect correctly with the property's existing drainage rather than trying to adapt the tub around the previous configuration.
Replacing the Rusted Vent Pipe
The project also identified a section of the existing vent line that had rusted out.
The deteriorated section was cut out and replaced with new PVC pipework, while the remainder of the serviceable vent system was retained.
A new inspection opening was also incorporated to provide easier access to the pipework for future inspection or maintenance.
Completing the Riverstone Plumbing Upgrades
Once the guttering and laundry plumbing were installed, the completed works were tested and the work areas cleaned.
The project renewed several ageing components across the property without unnecessarily replacing infrastructure that remained serviceable.
The roof now has new quad guttering connected to the existing downpipes, while the laundry has a new tub and drainage connection together with a repaired section of vent pipework.
