Replacing a Faulty Waste Pump at the Car Wash
Our team attended a car wash facility in Pemulwuy NSW 2145 to replace a faulty waste transfer pump and restore the pumping system to operation.
The existing pump was isolated from the electrical supply before its wiring and connected inlet and outlet pipework were disconnected.
Once isolated, the faulty pump was removed and disposed of, allowing the replacement equipment and associated pipework to be installed.
Installing the New Waste Transfer Pump
A new waste transfer pump was supplied and securely mounted to the existing concrete base.
Rather than reconnecting the replacement pump to the existing fittings, the work also included renewing the inlet and outlet connections to suit the new equipment.
This provided a complete connection between the existing car wash waste system and the replacement pump.
Replacing the Check Valves and Pressure Pipework
New one-way check valves were installed on both the inlet and outlet sides of the pump to help prevent wastewater from flowing back through the system when the pump is not operating.
New PVC pressure pipework and fittings were also installed to connect the pump to the existing waste system.
The pipework was configured around the replacement unit before the electrical supply was reconnected.
Testing the New Car Wash Waste Pump
Once the pump, valves and pressure pipework were installed, the electrical wiring was reconnected and the complete system was tested and commissioned.
The replacement pump was confirmed to be operating correctly before the work area was cleaned and waste from the installation removed from site.
The completed project restored the car wash's waste transfer system with a new pump, new flow-control valves and renewed pressure pipework rather than replacing the faulty pump alone.
