Replacing the Existing Hot Water System
Our team attended a residential property in Minto to remove an existing hot water system and install a replacement unit.
The project involved isolating the water and gas supplies, draining and disconnecting the old system, and modifying the associated pipework to accommodate the new installation.
New valves and connecting pipework were also required to suit the replacement hot water system.
Disconnecting and Removing the Old Hot Water Unit
Before removing the existing system, the water and gas supplies were isolated.
The hot water unit was then drained and disconnected from the property's plumbing services.
Redundant pipework was cut and removed to prepare the existing connections for the replacement system.
This allowed the new hot water unit to be installed with pipework and fittings suited to its connection requirements.
Installing the New Hot Water System
A new hot water system was supplied and installed in place of the existing unit.
The installation included replacement valves and new connecting pipework, allowing the system to be connected to the property's existing plumbing infrastructure.
Rather than retaining all the previous connections, the affected pipework was modified to accommodate the new hot water unit.
Replacing the Valves and Connecting Pipework
Alongside the new hot water system, the associated valves and pipework were updated as part of the installation.
These components play an important role in controlling the water supply and connecting the hot water unit to the existing plumbing.
Installing suitable replacement connections allowed the new system to be integrated with the property's existing services.
Testing and Completing the Minto Hot Water Replacement
Once the new hot water system and associated pipework were installed, the completed installation was tested and commissioned.
The work area was cleaned and installation waste removed from site.
The completed project replaced the existing hot water unit and renewed the necessary valves and pipework, leaving the replacement system connected and operating.
