Why do I have no hot water on my Rheem gas system?
Pilot Light
With any gas hot water system, it is incredibly common to have your pilot light extinguished for what seems like no reason at all. Things that can cause this to happen include wind, rain, flooding and sometimes animals. If you have mains gas check you haven't been disconnected from the gas network. I you are using LPG tanks to supply your gas, make sure they haven't run out or that the valse is off. To relight the pilot light check your Rheem system and/or manual which will have easy instructions on how to achieve this.
Leaking pressure relief valve
Most hot water systems include an overflow outlet valve often called a relief valve which will at times relieve pressure from the hot water tank. If you feel your Rheem gas hot water system is visibly leaking a lot more than the standard bit of pressure runoff, now is the time to call a licenced plumber.
